Lakme Fashion Week AW 09

In its tenth year now, the LFW will have 73 designers on board. Of these, 65 will showcase their collections on the ramp.

Besides them, Lakme and IMG Fashion will also be promoting young designers. Eight new talents will present their collections under the GenNext program along with six emerging designers and 48 established ones. The 'Lakmé Grand Finale' will also see a come back by veteran designer Anamika Khanna.

The event is also expecting domestic buyers as well as those from Middle East, Australia, Canada, Netherlands, Switzerland and South East Asian countries.

Last season, the Menswear Day and the Group Accessory Designer show had received much applause and LFW would be repeating both this season. Barbie, who has completed 50 years recently, would also walk the ramp at LFW, dressed in clothes by Indian designers.

Another first at LFW is international model Naomi Campbell walking the ramp for the cause of 26/11 victims.
